Top Speed of the Meet goes to the Dempsey World Record Team - Vesco Turbinator #111 running T3 class. On Friday night, Don Vesco ran 428.102mph and Saturday morning ran the car at 427mph for a new record average at 427.832mph.

#76 Teague-Welch-Banks in AA/BFS set a new record with an average speed of 387.635mph.

#356 Gary Allen Racing with Gary Allen driving in D/Bflat class. Running against a 233mph record, Gary had a qualifying speed of 242.212 mph on Friday, but was unable to back it up.

#487 and #1487, this Moto Guzzi motorcycle was able to set a couple of impressive records. First in 1000cc/Production Pushrod class, Todd Ross raised the average speed to 134.440mph - and then Mitch Freshour rode in the 1000CC/APS-PG class and raised the average to 142.271mph.

The Moto Guzzi people were pretty excited about the new records and celebrated with balloon rides over the salt flats.

#1148 Cat Zilla H/Gas Streamliner with Charles Roes driving had a fastest timed mile of 156.238mph on Friday.

#444 and #4441 with Mike Nish driving, ran in B/Fuel Streamliner and in D/Fuel Streamliner. Mike's fastest timed mile was 334.771mph.

#32 Harold Johansen in V4/Gas Modified Roadster was unable to complete a timed mile. It sure looked good sitting in line, tho.

#485 Don Nuss running A/Fuel Streamliner made multiple runs but did not run to the timing traps - turning out early each time - looks like a work in progress with lots of potential.

#303 Randy McConnell in H/Blown Gas Altered class ran against a 118mph record. Randy's best timed mile was 111mph.

#7777 Salt Shaker owned by Jim Rotta, in F/ Blown Gas Streamliner had a fastest timed mile at 172.693mph. This new car qualified for record runs but did not attempt a return pass. We can expect to see this entry in the impound next year!
